Hawthorne effects- People behave differently when they know by standers are filming.

A clear example from the last five years is #MahsaAmini 2022-2023, where videos filmed on people's phones spread globally and helped bring international attention to the protests.

The Hawthorne effect- plays a major role people often change their behaviour when they realize a phone is recording them. This can prevent further harm or expose the truth.
