@mysteryparrot.bsky.social I think you like this.
About the news that Jeff Bezos will get married.

"I can't believe he's getting married. I thought he was anti-union."

Japan is not so prosperous, but still more prosperous than the U.S. The U.S. has a lot of wealth, but not so much prosperity.
Spock said, "Live long and prosper." Not "Live long and be wealthy."

Norway has a 1.4 trillion dollar sovereign wealth fund from its oil revenue. I wish we had such fund because we are world No.1 oil producer (Norway is No.8).

My request for Prof. Krugman is to use this song for "he-who-must-not-be-named" in his "MUSIC CODA"😊.

This cartoon is supposed to be a satire, but it is difficult for the 10% of American households in abject poverty to vote rationally. The Japanese language has a proverb "貧すれば鈍する.", which means "Poverty makes you dumb." (2/2)

The vote difference is 231K in 7 swing states, 2.29M votes nationwide. Now, this is the U.S. household income distribution in 2023. More than 14M (10%) U.S. households have less than $20K annual income. No wonder many of them can think nothing but grocery prices. (1/2)

My favorite is “貧すれば鈍する.”
The chart shows that 20% of the American household income is <= $20K. The vote difference between the 2 Presidential candidates in 2024 is less than 2%.
