I think Starmer & Reeves credibility is shot on this now. They should have been calling out Brexit from day 1, instead of the crap about “making it work” and “respecting the will of the people”. Even if they have finally found their backbone, it all feels too late and too easy to dismiss as excuses.

You can’t control the weather. But you can control how you prepare for that weather. The pandemic and Ukraine were storms that were going to hit us, no matter what. Brexit was choosing to take the roof off the house right before they hit, believing we were somehow magically storm-proof.
