just one brown masc nonbinary's experience, we should all continue to seek out more from all bipoc walks of life, myself included.

im thankful for all the voices making the bipoc experience known, bc i'll read about said experiences & be like "oh, huh, eerily similar..." & it just keeps adding up. exhausting !! but we keep on like we always have. glad to have my own lil corner carved out here but the work's never really done.

i can't understand how that puts more people on guard than (motions towards the rampant racism & various -phobic's still platformed) but to be fair, i dont wholly understand white people either, having only shared space with a predominantly white community for like 4 years or so.

i dunno dawg, i'd like to think my openness with being brown isn't affecting much but i had to come to terms with it being a cause for most to avoid me just cause i indulge in stuff that makes me happy. i purposely keep myself small just cause of weird past interactions i still cant explain.

now having more experience being part of an online fandom, i've unfortunately had to learn the hard way that people really don't take being confronted as a learning experience, instead youre met with hands over the ears asking why youre being aggressive(generally)

since my relationships & friend circles were primarily irl with the internet used mostly as a way to supplement it meant there wasnt a barrier people could hide behind, no online persona or whatever. we'd hit the same shows, parties, functions what have you, & if you were weird, we'd catch on quick.

my irl communities fell apart due to covid lockdowns & my personal life soon followed so i was kinda isolated & probably subconsciously sought something out, finding gpose & the greater part of xivtwt.

youre a lovely person behind the screen & its easy to tell based off your interactions. in a world full of horror & strife, my pal gu da will always hook me up with the finest mud.
