There's definitely inflationary pressures associated with the new tariffs. My wife buys yarn from Canada and various Scandinavian countries, and that has been a problem. Particularly Canadian products.

No, not at all. If anything, somewhat the reverse. The COVID/post-COVID inflationary phase seems largely coterminous to the years Biden was in office.

If what cost me $110 in 2019, costs me $250 in 2022 (wages largely unchanged), it's not necessary for me to have a firm understanding of the precise rate of inflation. I'd submit that experience results in a stronger understanding of inflationary realities than any amount of studying macroenomics.

El Salvador used to have the highest murder and rape rates in the Western Hemisphere. Now they're lower than Canada's. Perhaps after empathizing with MS-13 and such, you might also spare some empathy for the ordinary people of El Salvador, who live much better lives under President Bukele.

I didn't know there was an animated, Mel Brooks samurai cat film.

The inflationary pressures of the first half of this decade were unlike any I've ever seen (at the age of 55). My understanding is that we had some similar pressures in the late 70s/early 80s, but I was just a kid then, and didn't really feel it. Groceries in 2022 cost THRICE what they did in 2019.

A child's understanding of the Big Bang. The only thing that's really incorrect about it (minus the rainbow detail) is the implied geocentrism.

Lame pretext. No one's buying the claim that Will was assaulted because of legitimate fear of his actions. That's an obviously stupid lie. No one was frightened by what Will was doing.
