It's more than a few million difference on the contracts. Jrue has 2 years after this one on the deal the Celtics gave him. Simons is on an expiring. Also, the money wasn't the issue for BOS. It was the team building penalties for being repeaters: loss of picks and mid-level contract slots.

Feel like we are seeing an increase in "calf strains" in the NBA. Is it just me? If so, are teams better at identifying that's why we are seeing more? Is it just a random data spike? Is this just a reaction to the weird spike in Achilles injuries last season so teams are being extra careful?

I think this Bulls team is different than the play-in Bulls we are used to. Giddy is going up a level. They have solid role guys, guys that know their lane and won't stray. Random guy that can go nuclear, young guys trying to make their mark, good vets. I have always thought Billy D is a good coach.
