I feel like Edward Scissorhands botches the metephor so badly.
In it’s bitter attempt to guilt regular people into empathy, it tells people who are different not to even bother with the world outside. Just isolate. They will use you and then try to kill you.

I always associated Sabrina Carpenter with the conservative culture wave
(not that she was necessarily conservative, but aesthetically it felt connected)
but she has gone against that wave so hard with this new performance, and I want it to give me hope. I’m unsure though.

I love that @afantano.bsky.social didn’t realize that Justin didn’t go viral because we were gawking at a crash-out, but because “clocking to you that I’m standing on business” is very silly sounding and an improper use of the slang.

Sometimes Robert Evans from Behind the Bastards looks a little like Jason Schwartsman from all the Wes Anderson movies. This was especially weird for me in Asteroid City where I was actively imagining his character as Robert for some reason and could not stop.

Trick:You can set it so it doesn’t track your yt history, and when it does that, it won’t show you the home page of recommendations or recommend shorts because thats based on your hist. All you have left is your subscriptions. Downside being,it also won’t remember where you left off in long videos.
