Car seat belts but you’d have to go back 70 years for their intro. I remember passengers throwing a hissy fit as recently as this century about being forced to wear them.

Don't put it off, seriously, it was a transformative trip for me. We did our best to find a balance so we spent half of the trip in Tokyo and the other half in a small island in Okinawa. And yes, the fooooood!
