Working on my solo indie debut game: M A T R O S K A

AI Vegan. My ideas, inspirations, concepts and executions are all my own, stemming from my taste and real life experiences.
Really cool influences. I lately play on PCSX2, and I enjoy Manhunt 1+2 as if there is no tomorrow.

Furthermore, just freaking ask them questions about their essays. About their motivations, thoughts and what they thought about something specific, and see if they can answer. Is that a too far to grasp of a measure to think of to detect fraud?

Started Blood Fresh Supply too recently. My 1st time
Blood, awesome experience. Except, I chose a harder difficulty, and it is literally impossible to not get constantly hitscanned first thing when turning around a corner :D Usually not doing this, but I probably have to restart on medium :P

The night atmosphere in this game looks so lovely, so movie'esque. Wow. Added to my lib.

Lastly I'd like to share this article, which is an interesting read about the topic. I am naturally a bit skeptical towards "marketing people" :P and that also counts the for this (well known) author, but it has some interesting points about the topic:

Definitely. I recall when I did just one post about the last game I worked on 80lvl's Discord channel, we got a few hundred Wishlists in just a few days just from that. I guess it is a balance between "working for oneself" vs "working for the social platforms content feed".

You made my day, had me cracking :D LoL

Totally understand that too and still a bit torn. The thing that I heard is that social media interaction does not necessary translate into interested players/sales. Sometimes even stated that its time spent on feeding the algo of platforms rather than on the game. Makes some sense to me.

Interesting to hear in turn! Thx for sharing. I think about presentation/marketing a lot these days. I read several times that there is a distinction between presenting among peers(other devs) and general audience. Way I currently see/aim at: Present something more polished, then show behind scenes.

I'm glad too :D Yes I am planning to regularly release material of my game here soon. However, made a self"pact" not to "jump the gun" too early and show things too raw, losing the impacts of first impressions, if that makes sense. Love this post about it: gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2016/04/pros...
Pros and Cons of Posting Work-in-Progress

Very welcome😊And sorry that I first just cold tossed the link without description. I realized it might came across a bit cold and smart ass. Bluesky makes it hard with it's word limit to boil something like this down into a few words.

All the best. Your game looks impressive!

It is an investment and a learning curve for sure! Totally understandable. While Hair Cards are also not always among my daily tasks, I could not live without this add-on ever again when working on game ready hair.

I don't see how this tool would differenciate between hand painting cards or not. It turns Blender into XGen, giving you control over hair card strips via curves and auto UV sectioning, streamlining and non-destructive'ing the whole process. But you're welcome :D
