I don't think Ahti is ever mentioned in F&H... Or am I forgetting something? F&H does reference to finnish folklore though and Ahti is part of that mythology. I guess some finnish things are slipped in the game in a similar manner Remedy does that.

Not much honestly. If you're familiar with King in Yellow, you can probably see that there's not much common between the two besides colour yellow. Even his goals in termina are almost opposite of what King in Yellow represents.

Some characters got new skills, but they're still not evenly distributed. I tend to add new skills if I get good ideas for them. It's a single player game so balance isn't really that big of an issue I think, so I'm not too concerned whether some characters got more or less.

Some minor changes, but they're meant to be too strong. They're kinda similar to how you get some bonus extra weapons in old horror games that completely break the game. If you want a horror experience and tension, I don't think those skill should be used. They're there just for fun.

Most holidays are based on such basic things in life that I think they'd be celebrated in F&H world too by default. Like Halloween is so close to harvest season ending, so I'm sure F&H would have its version of halloween too.

Hard to say. If you're itching for the game, go for it now. But if you got other stuff at hand, maybe you can try to hold off for a moment? I think the worst release for the update is while someone is in the middle of a playthrough. Things should work alright, but it might add some confusion.

Thanks for the nice words. Hopefully the update lives up to expectations. I think there are few new somewhat creative ideas for horror gaming. Excited to hear how that stuff will be received.

At times I wish I just moved on from Termina way earlier, but "regret" is a bit too strong of a word for it. With each new addition, I felt the game just got that much more interesting and fun. And it's been interesting remixing and building on top of an already existing game.

From old stuff? Probably Heartless one. Got a slight update to her looks, new name and a lot of new lore. Her design first changed more, but I dialed it back closer to her original design because of reasons, one being I don't want fan art and cosplays of the character become unrecognizable.

I imagine redesigns being a bit polarizing. There are a couple of other old designs that got tweaked as well. There have been a handful of little things that bothered me to this day, so throughout the development of the update, I've given some things minor facelifts.

I think Vinushka also got a fair amount of spells. I'll add more spells if good ones come up. I don't want to add more just for the sake of more. I'd rather have spells be more unique.

The whole gameplay balance has changed significantly. overtime dmg did get different variety of nerfs. Some are just number changes, some more involved drawbacks.
