Maybe this is a key selling feature for Bluesky and when understood, User choice algorithms may be the reason content creators move to Bluesky- to once again have an audience that they engage with and engages with them. Hmmm

Jack Conte (founder of Patreon) has said that this is due to the change of algorithms from a "subscribe and follow me" kind of "user choice", to a "4U" algorithm originating from tiktok where the platform (Tiktok) suggest content 4U to watch.

Seeing this new app talking about "followers" had me thinking... Does Bluesky offer a unique selling point to content creators? We choose who we follow on Bluesky and we see what they post. Is this a new Golden era of audience engagement on Bluesky? I'm new to the platform, but not new to marketing

The viewer doesn't choose. This is destabilizing to CC income and show that their followers aren't their "audience"now. Their "audiences" are actually the platforms "users". Can't sell if only 5% of see it. Focusing on bonding with followers may not get desired outcomes on current platforms.

You’re welcome. I remember the fairness act that required fair and balanced conversations when using public airwaves. I was glad he brought that up. And his real talk on farming right now was insightful.
