I do feel sometimes the way I draw faces is just a zoomed up version of how I'd draw the face in a medium shot. I could do more with the extra resolution a portraiture/close-up affords.

If I spend an hour drawing a med. shot of a character, and an hour drawing a portrait of the same character, there should be a sense that the whole hour dedicated to just the face should result in something more detailed, or at least more considered, than the medium shot face.

You can pull off her head, pull her ahoge off, and throw her head like a grenade and it'll explode. Her head will come back shortly afterwards.

I've been wanting to name a character Nanashi for a while.

Her design emerged from wanting to have an ahoge and a flesh fang at the same time.

Exudes immense power only some people can see. Someone looks at her, starts screaming in terror. Everyone else turns around and watches her eat a peanut butter and Nutella sandwich.
