@dalejohnsonespn.bsky.social #NEWIPS Newcastle penalty?? I’m looking for a clear and obvious refereeing error and I’m not seeing one? I don’t think anyone would say it was a clear penalty so why are VAR re-reffing the game?

@dalejohnsonespn.bsky.social That VAR review for the second Liverpool goal checked every phase and every touch, surely that’s re-refereeing the game? I get checking the offside but the Ref had given the goal so why check everything else?

@dalejohnsonespn.bsky.social Southampton disallowed goal for offside. Why wasn’t the ref sent to the monitor to make his own decision? It seems a subjective decision so that would be a case for the Ref to view it again rather than VAR making the decision, no?
