I’m afraid you might be mistaken. Ideologically motivated, incompetent individuals are often highly driven to destroy everything decent in their path. Just ask anyone who has lived in an authoritarian state. ;)

Very new to the field, I find that some of the IRT, especially Realism, seems more like an ideology rather than a theory. For now, I would recommend this one.
