Idk why this needs to be said this way and hasn’t been already by most outlets, but the Trump ballroom is not being paid for by corporate donations, it’s being built with money that would have been a fraction of the tax obligations those companies are avoiding under trump tax policy.

It’s almost like all this expansion of gambling enterprises and intermingling it directly into the mainstream, without properly addressing and regulating -that gambling- would inevitably lead to -this situation- but not before the people who lobbied it to be inevitable to happen make fortunes.

In the private sector, if you pay for something that you need “just in case of emergency”, it’s called insurance. And it’s encouraged and thrives as an industry. But if the government tries to be proactive and spend money for the “just in case”, it’s called waste and socialism.
