The first book is different but once you read the series and get a taste for Hoyt's style and pacing, when you go back and read book 1 again you'll love it so much more. First books in a series are hard and this one is doing some serious heavy lifting.

I did not yet make time to read today but made a point to watch Doctor Odyssey on hulu, specifically the ep after the 3some that featured the gay cruise. But when I do read later, it will be Sonali Dev's The Bollywood Affair and Laura Kinsale The Shadow and the Star.
