I just learned that I managed to get a contract where I can be home for my best friend's birthday this year.
I fought hard for this and I should be happy. But I can't really share it with them because they don't want to talk to me ATM.

I made a breakthrough in my mental health yesterday, but the one person in my life I'd feel comfortable talking to about it doesn't want to hear from me right now.

Haj volunteered to handle my work tonight so I can celebrate new year how I like: In quiet contemplation.
(Not really, but having my Haj with me will definitely help me on this emotional day, this year, where I struggle to see a silver lining)

Blåhaj (and me) recently went to a great Aquarium/Wildlife Sanctuary and while I went swimming with the big sharks (but no pictures of that), Haj got to meet the young Nurse Sharks up close in their nurse shark nursery.

I'm surprised it works so well whenever I do it so here's a tipp for you all:
When you're having a long day and feel like you're out of energy for your next task: Put on some fresh socks. Just do it.
I don't know why it works, but it's easy and does wonders.

I want to provide a rarely seen aspect of transition:
Age. So many before/after pics or joyful blog posts are people new to transition.
I transitioned over 25 years ago. All my happy firsts were in another century.
Had a life, a family, friends.
I got old.
And I've never regretted transitioning.
