Interesting background on Yenser. I’m reassured that there might a fair degree of continuity with what Butch Barry instilled in his players.

Couple of points about the hire, that I came across previously. They made Allen part of the interview process so they can blame Allen if it doesn’t work out, and a lot of Bills fans blame McDermott for defense giving up too many points. 🤷

And Darnold might not have been the Minnesota starter if JJ McCarthy didn’t get injured. Regardless, the circumstances for Seattle acquiring Darnold are different than would be the case for Dolphins gambling on Richardson or Lance. I’m leaving out Levis since he wasn’t a high 1st rd pick like them

None of the QBs you mentioned in your article ever came close to a 14-3 season as a starter. Seattle also has much better personnel on both offense and defense than Miami. So I’m a bit skeptical about your SB QB plan.

We shouldn’t expect him to make career decisions without undergoing something like a Panchakarma cleanse or ayahuasca retreat. 🧘

I’m not counting out Chargers. Texans game aside, they keep winning despite massive injuries, and it’s a bit surprising Jim Harbaugh doesn’t seem to get coach of the year mention.

Good to know HC decision won’t be based on MNF game at Pittsburgh because last time a team made up a 25 point fourth quarter deficit was in 1987.

Any thoughts on whether Champ Kelly is the GM in 2026?

Informative episode. Like you, I’m against trading up for a QB. However, if Dante Moore declares, I wouldn’t want the Jets drafting him. So rooting for Giants & Raiders to keep losing I guess, and Jets somehow winning over Patriots or Bills.

It’s debatable Mendoza is better than Dante Moore, let alone transcendent.

I think you mean something like reckoning. Penance is voluntary.

If he does make it to R2, is he worth moving up to select? I see a parallel to Patrick Paul, in the sense of a high upside player you can develop for one year instead of waiting a year to pick in R1.

At least they weren’t shut out, or there would have been two 31-0 games.

This is an unpleasant memory, but it’s reminiscent of the game Fins lost to Titans in 2023.

But wouldn’t you say Falcons deserved to win? There was that wide open pass Sills dropped, if he catches it, they wouldn’t have been so far behind. On the other hand, endzone catch by Pitts, that was 50/50 inbounds or out.

100% part of her job and part of his job as well IMO.
December 9, 2025 at 1:51 PM
Very true, but the net result for Miami was to replace a CB & S with another CB & S. A comp pick for Holland would be icing on the cake but seems unlikely.

Honorable mention for Minkah’s tackle on Buffalo’s 2 point conversion attempt?
November 22, 2025 at 6:39 PM
This is premature since they haven’t hired a GM but should they primarily go after BPA in 2026 draft, or prioritize filling needs? And what about picking an inline TE who’s a receiving threat, so you don’t telegraph a running play when they’re deployed?
November 20, 2025 at 3:18 PM
Fins fan here. Big Pat is a solid player right now, especially in pass pro, with very high upside. Once rookie LG Jonah S develops into a dependable player, hopefully, the left side of the Oline will be formidable.

I’m partial to Moore, though maybe he stays at Oregon one more year, but doesn’t Mendoza’s mobility and durability give him a higher floor than Tua?
November 9, 2025 at 9:27 AM
One more reason not to trade Waddle: if you’re moving on from Tua, next QB would have a much greater chance of succeeding with Waddle in the huddle.

I know Chris Grier’s scapegoat #1 but the combination of Douglas & Fitzpatrick have outplayed Ramsey, with 99.9 passer rating allowed and Holland, with 111.6 passer rating allowed.
