D1 (at the mall): Mom, why are you wiping out that cup and putting it in your purse

Me: Kid, I teach design thinking. When you come across innovation in a place your Ss recognize, you snatch that up as though your life depends on it!

After 25yrs in the elementary classroom, I jumped. And now, while teaching HS science for a semester, I watch my new STEAM lab comes together. I am overcome with excitement and overwhelmed with anxiety each day. But oh, the possibilities! #EDUsky #STEMedu #STEAMedu

Had some fun this weekend conjuring up the Christmas pet options for my Ss for our reading program. They drop tomorrow and are only available for a limited time. Time to get reading and writing!

The garden has so much to teach us! Today it surprised us with some radish seeds. And we found frozen columns of ice in the stem of our tomato plant. Seeing and touching this "stem purpose" frozen in time was totally amazing! #EduSky
