Maresca move will make both Chelsea and City poorer so I’ll take that.

More likely the goal than the halftime talk that changed the game. Tension released from our players and Villa didn’t know how to approach the game after going behind.

Never surpass this guy

Football would never had been invented without the Word Cup.

Should have had another assist for Martinelli

Own goal again olé olé

True

We were the better team, but xG - and possibly result - would have looked a lot different if we had conceded the Saliba penalty.

Not having to travel always good in a busy schedule.

I thought winning when you weren’t playing well was the hallmark of champions. Does that narrative not apply to Arsenal?

They back him until they sack him. Same with all managers.

Own goal again, own goal again…

You forgot quite a few options

Ødegård could see it all the way

Is the petition still open?

Thanks for that. I don't know where the 'Odegaard coming too deep' suddenly came from since he wasn't doing anything different to usual or controversial. I guess when we lose people are looking for reasons. If it had been us scoring the last minute winner it would never have been a talking point.

My point about Calafiori vs White is that there is not symmetry and balance across the field. There is not supposed to be, attacking imbalance will create imbalance or in the opposition defence.

And your theory that Ødegaard is coming too deep is not supported by the data as the heat map shows.

I chose some of the greatest playmakers from the ‘70, ‘80 and ‘90ies because I assumed you’d be familiar with more recent ones. Ø has gone deep all his time with Arsenal and his heat map is normal for an 8.
We created lots of chances but struggled with makeshift defence against a good team.

I'm guessing Calafiori also played further forward than White?
December 6, 2025 at 6:51 PM
Are you saying they were not good players? There is a direct line from Cruyff to Guardiola.
