How did we get to the point where Walmart cakes are sooo much cheaper than the local baker’s? Surely that can’t be purely from economies of scale?

I read something about that today (didn’t keep the link to the source, sorry), but apparently the Tiktok algorithm won’t show all your videos to all your followers: it will only show what it thinks is more appropriate to the right followers. That’s my understanding 🙂

Is this some new form of marketing thick jackets? There was no episode on that in Mad Men 😂

It’s always been the opposite of a problem for me: hardcover is heavier and takes more space, so the fact that soft shell books are cheaper is very welcome haha

From my experience, I observed this: Tiktok is geared towards content creation. Instagram is an app originally designed for photographers, gentrified by “influencers”, repurposed for content creation.
