+ and it is until he's confronted by this that he's able to move on. He's dead, there's no changing it, so he can't stay.

By shattering the statue (I'd like to think it was his own), he's freeing himself from staying with the living.

By his own memories. He tried to "come back to life" by sculpting himself, but of course it didn't work, just as much as it didn't work with all the people we've already seen (people he knew, people he misses and desperately wants back to him) +

The blood in his head must've immediately stood out for everyone, including myself. Do you remember where else he has blood in his head?

Now we have the rewind scene, the party scene (notice how these people kinda look like some other statues he has?) and then a full stop until we see this other version of Tae. (He's gorgeous)

Now, up until this moment I thought I had gotten the grand reveal (she's the statue) already but clearly Tae wouldn't give it out this easily.

As we see him walking around the city, he notices what looks like a red butterfly...

Like, there are some other explicit parallels but this is the one that stood out the most to me

Now, credit where credit is due: BTSgreenhouse had previously identified these flowers, and I took their interpretation into account for the MV.
