Two paintings on the go. I am playing with colour and movement in acrylics and oil.
'Awash in light', 16x12 inch painting, now available! I kept the use of colour fresh and vibrant, so she doesn't feel heavy and moody. The movement of colour was applied to the canvas first, see second photo, to give the portrait a chaotic and unpredictable feel. Just like how I experience life.

This is a work in progress. I just started with oils, but will keep some of the acrylic background showing. Title is going to be, 'The kids are all right!'.

I am working on a self portrait for a competition, u am pretty happy so far and am leaving it for a few days to see what to improve on!

'Messy spaghetti'. As a parent of adult children it has been a while parenting little ones through the messy meal times, but I am sure every parent can relate! I wanted to use the same soft colours throughout the painting to enhance the delicate feeling of the child's face.
