We’re back! We haven’t run one of our fabulous folklore workshops since before the dreaded Covid… and after many requests to start up again, this is our first workshop and it’s all about Water folklore and stories.

Deep in the hollow earth, time sleeps & the Badger waits. Guardian of the Winter Earth & slow time, she sleeps. She slows the earth, & cradles the deeply held love of those things past, those beloved lost ones who walk the sky instead of land, who are now only seen within, whilst we walk on without.

I love to imagine the night in my work, the liminal places where two worlds meet. Badger is in the wild, on her travels in the moonlight, & she stops to see a garden, into the domestic sitting in the wild landscape as a separate universe… I wonder what she thinks, and how different it feels to her…💙

Tonight at 6pm my new collection launches.

A celebration of spring & Hope, towards peace and a brighter future .. As well as earrings, I’ve made special plain pendants. Unadorned with gemstones, talismans that can be worn to bring a connection to the wild, hope and protection for the wearer.

Isn’t this a beautiful image? I found it the other day & it resonated much. I hadn’t seen this when I painted the 2nd and 3rd images. So lovely, & gives me comfort. There is hope for a better world.
