oh agreed, i'm a lesbian so i don't begrudge queer people feeling the warmth of validation and was more thinking about the straight audience (especially straight female audience, as it's the subsection i encounter more)

it's funny, i was just thinking about exactly that this morning before the news came out (but you phrased it much better than i could have!). it's like they can only fully enjoy the show when it has the approval of heteropatriarchy

i was so sad as a canadian thinking they wouldn't ship here because of the tariffs, but they're based in ontario!!! thanks for sharing :)

i know this sounds crazy, but start at season 4 episode 1! two of the major characters left at the end of s3 (apologies if you already know this), so it’s a great little reintroduction and the humour is way less gross

i loved this tribute. genuine question, as someone trying to learn about TV history - would M*A*S*H not have revived the sitcom from seeming déclassé before Cheers did? or was it viewed as the exception to the genre?

imo, not that gory, and the gore that does exist is fairly telegraphed if you need to look away (to use an example, if it was a zombie movie, you would hear the zombie before you had to see its appearance) (now if you can't handle the sight of blood at all that's another story)
