As we remember the start of Covid five years ago, it seems apt that today I have catalogued a very small collection of Covid-related signs from the Churchill Archives Centre (CCAR 999/7).

Well that took me back 20+ years to days spent at Junior Yearly Meeting and Young Women’s Weekends! You could tell who understood it because they started gossiping and chatting, just like we used to.

It’s a day off so I got to sewing. LO is now swimming in a much cooler pool with cold changing rooms so he now has a sherpa-lined fleece blanket hoodie to stay warm under. Materials £10.

At the last Squirrel session of the year, we celebrated traditions from Germany, Spain, Mexico, and Burkina Faso! We distributed 40 badges from the term, including our LO’s Chief Scout’s Acorn, the top award. Proud Mummy moment!

Our darling, mad-cap spaniel, Amber, passed away this morning after a stroke in the night. She was 12yo and had had a wonderful country life.
