I really think the biggest issue facing the left in the UK is its own stubbornness. The Tories have been so successful because they're historically brilliant when it comes to rebranding themselves.

Disappointing result for the Hull and EY mayor today. Reassuring that it was at least somewhat close in Hull with @libdems.org.uk not too far behind. The traditionally conservative East Riding was always going to be harder to win over, but the significant majority for reform there was sad to see.
