The first time my husband left me alone with our newborn I sobbed because I was so scared. It was genuinely scary! Now I’m left alone with 3 kids under 6, which is genuinely scarier.

I have a couple of students who have to take medicine at school at the same time everyday. 1 kid forgets every day. The other kid usually reminds me. At this age, a parent will know if their kid can handle it or not. I’ve even had students offer me Tylenol from their backpack when my head hurt 🙈🤪

I’m also committed to profession of teaching but the state gov of OK is pretty hostile towards teachers in a good day. I would really like to live somewhere that values the profession and public ed. 😭 it just feels like a lot.

Thank you for the insight!! Half my family lives in North Carolina, we used to live in NYC, so we were kind of looking for a middle area between the area. Living in OK just doesn’t feel safe nor does it align with our values and it doesn’t seem that it’s going to change.
