So glad you are ok. I had a very similar situation many years ago with my infant daughter in the car. For the next week I was in a surreal haze, very aware of the alternate reality that could have been had I not made the split second decision I did. In my case the accelerator was the right answer.

I didn’t start hugging trees until after I had bought a Tesla. And I’ve never hugged Elon (and never wanted to) before or after.

Oh wow. I would have liked to think CEO’s are focused on building organizations with excellent products and services and creating positive work environments to stimulate teamwork and creativity in fulfilling the company’s mission. My bad.

1 year ahead of you on this. 2013 model S rear drive unit failed a year ago. We chose Tesla fix for $7k and 4 yr warranty on repair. Probably already just lost >$7k in car value, so it is the failure that is costly. Paying to repair may more than restore to prev car value + sentimental value, maybe

Thank you for this thread. I have been an owner, investor and believer in Tesla’s mission and transformation of vehicles and energy. However the posts of Elon turn my stomach with how off-base and vengeful he is. It is good for me to be able to read others’ thoughts as I formulate my forward plan.
