Hannah's mama here. I can't type the whole thread up again or I'll burst into tears, so I'll share what I wrote on my personal account - I had to say goodbye to Hannah yesterday. It hurts so much, not having her here.
She'll be sorely missed, by myself and by everyone who knew her.

Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life.
I had to say goodbye to Hannah.
To make a very long story short: she had an autoimmune condition that caused her body to attack her red blood cells, and even with treatment we didn't know what her quality of life would be like.

i can see everything going on, and if i turn around i can see the outdoors and the birbs
and i can also easily hop down onto the couch and harass mama for lap snuggles

@hannah-bitbit.bsky.social and I rescued each other, especially after my ex-wife (and cat co-parent) passed away unexpectedly a few years ago. Taking care of Hannah kept me going during some very dark times and gave me something good to focus on, and Hannah took care of me too. ❤️
