For me it's quite funny as I often have to politely message people joining our online comics group and letting them know that they're definitely very welcome, but it might not be the BEST place to learn home their first stand up act 🤫

With the focus on butch women it would probably be "sapphic" if you were a Western™️ artist. If I were you, I'd use yuri & sapphic because of geographic prestige for "yuri" which is good for marketing and describes the style & origin, but "sapphic" for your intended audience and story content.

They all have different flavours to be honest. People will argue only for yuri for Japanese/East Asian artists when they wouldn't for an American/Western artistic making an identical comic, but you could use any of them.

Pointing out a gay man's lisp (alleged? I've never noticed one) is definitely par for the course with the mail. Forgot about the good old fashioned homophobia myself!

I will admit that learning the concepts surrounding grammar were the hardest parts of it as a native English speaker! European non-native French speaking friends found that less daunting. I found Mandarin easier because of the comparative "lack" of grammar (conjugations).

I can use French functionally in France, but poorly. I don't think it's that dramatically different from Spanish in terms of learning. Motivation and opportunities to use it vs knowledge of how you form connections with words/retain structures is the main thing that decides difficulty really.
