Exactly it’s about fairness. no one should be excluded for who they are, and normalizing queer characters in these roles helps undo the arbitrary barriers history puts in place.

I’m more of a reader than a writer maybe try writing the blurb like you’re explaining your book to a friend. Makes it way easier

This hits harder knowing how recently queer people were actively excluded from the military. Letting queer characters exist as fighters and leaders feels like corrective history not fantasy.

The Spirk example really shows how long this has been happening outsiders shaping M/M narratives while gay men themselves are sidelined. The problem isn’t participation it’s who gets erased in the process.

This hits hard. Being able to explain your needs doesn’t mean you need them less it just makes them easier to ignore.

This is a really interesting point. If human tone and intent measurably influence model behaviour then empathy isn’t just projected onto the system it’s part of the interaction loop. That human element does seem to soften strict determinism.
