The Dems are better than the Republicans. Not arguing that. But the Dems aren't good enough that they'll keep this from happening again in 6 years. They aren't willing to go to the mat. And that means another decade or two of our lives getting harder

The trick is to talk down to them and explain that the only real political option is to vote for the Dems and anything else is treason. If your candidate loses you may be tempted to try listening. This is a trap. Instead blame them for everything that goes wrong for the next 4 election cycles

A few years ago the median cost to run for the House was ~2 million. ~15 for the Senate. The only way to get a federal congressional seat is if you play ball. No ball, national influence. Congress could not pass tax reform without the rubber stamp of the rich.

I've been saying government entities need to be profit driven for ages. EPA? Sounds like you're asking someone else to pay for your clean air while killing market solutions that could strengthen our economy. Public prisons? Plenty of efficient companies taking over those already

Only if the next administration/congress immediately make reinforcing previous norms and finding solutions to ongoing issues like our supreme court, which will scare donors away and end careers. Otherwise the tools Trump used will be left out for the next would-be-king
