There are two kinds of Christians, ones that worship Jesus and ones that worship hate and white supremacy. Charlie Kirk was one that worshipped hate and white supremacy. He wasn’t a martyr for Jesus. He made a career off of spewing hate at minorities and demonizing love.

As this person says, two things can be true at once. He was a horrific person and a bad influence, but no one deserves to die from gun violence.
The murder of Charlie Kirk was criminal, wrong, and should be condemned.
And Charlie Kirk was a horrible, hateful man who spent his life radicalizing young people to embrace their worst demons by targeting women, people of color, immigrants, and the marginalized.
I refuse to sanitize him.

People are freaking out over this, sending prayers, talking about his family and friends, and also making it political, yet they will say school shootings are “a fact of life” and to “get over it.” We can stop it, or at least keep it under control if we have more gun control.
If only he could’ve known he himself would die from gun violence, maybe he would’ve had some sympathy for the children dying from it every single day. No one deserves to die from gun violence, no one. But it happens. Every day. Kids are dying. People are turning a blind eye to it.
Of course no one should get shot and killed, but let’s not act like Charlie Kirk literally wasn’t constantly acting like mass shootings and the death of children from gun violence wasn’t a big deal and in his own words was “worth it” to own guns.
