Started a nap on 7/5/23 after a nice lunch, and I just woke up. Have I missed anything important?
About how I felt last Wednesday.

A dear, local friend and I bring each other a bottle of whiskey on visits. He brought me Tin Cup recently. It came in handy tonight, having just learned of a prep school friend passing away. Found a pic of a few of us in ‘74, and poured myself a wee bit to toast the one and only Bun Head.

@jimacosta.bsky.social Can anyone in TV news media explain why, besides maybe an obligation under an enterprise license, the digital meeting app being used is shown? It’s not like in the “old days” there was a statement “calling in via Ma Bell”, or now “my Verizon Apple iPhone”, or whatever.

Ditched the expired tin, and had two Matiz (one “regular” and other a spicy red pepper) instead. Quick pan-seared. Radish and Pea micro-greens (can’t get enuf). French (Corsica) rosé (OK, ntg special).

Having some sardines on greens for lunch. Found this can (love the label) from a long-ago trip to Paris. The 2009 expiration is just a suggestion, right? (ps, I actually do store quality ‘dines from Spain, Portugal and France in a fridge for a few years - they actually age surprisingly well)

Summer is here. 91F (but at least low humidity). Charcoal-grilled, homemade salmon burgers (fresh garden dill & chives), les frites, and local pêche grillée.
