Thread/ my last stop in Kansas City for #WHA2024 was the Missouri River. A sign told the historical importance of the River to the city & mentioned Indian Removal Act process of removal in passive voice. This silence is violence.

I presented at the #TexDHSymposium as the Lunch Keynote speaker alongside Linda Garcia Merchant and Andrea Malone of University of Houston. We spoke about the creation of the Digital Humanities Core Facility at UH and how this can be a model to created community-focused spaces in DH.
