It's a Cass heavy week, led by her second solo issue where we get a little more insight into the mysterious baddies Shiva has dragged into town. Needless to say they definitely set up a nasty threat with a forboding ending. Our Orphan's got her hands full.

I'm a big fan of Zdarsky's Bats and even though this arc is putting our boy Jim through the ringer I'm still really into it. Always love the more Detective focused stories, some great mystery-solving in this one.

Best issue of the series yet now that the Superboys space adventure is over and we can put more focus on the main story. Superman making seemingly tough choices decisively thanks to his strong morality, the essence of the character. Insane cliffhanger ending.

Much like WW I think the second issue has improved this series immensely. Kal's "cape" is a really cool switch-up for this version of Supes and I'm already clamoring for more of him and Lois together.

Waid and Mora is a dream team. Unsure how to feel about the new JL status quo but it certainly lets DC dip into their massive reservoir of interesting heroes. This book sets up two compelling threads and looks immaculate.

Turning Harley into a Deadpool-style quipster anti-hero has largely been a sensible business move I think but the humor is always hit and miss with me. There are some bits I like here though, particularly the dynamic with Chicken Fingers. Lee's art is also wonderful.

New story finally going after Ollie's All In debut was more of a recap and reset book. I love the art in this one. Details vague so far as a new mystery starts off but liked how grounded and quiet the issue was on the whole. Big fan of solo adventures for Arrow.

I love Taylor's idea of testing Batman with, not quite immortality, but the promise of a longer, healthier life. Bruce's skepticism is surely warranted and I'm interested to see the other shoe drop. Also love any time we get these two just riffing on hero shit. Good book.

I found the time travel detour of this book a bit more interesting than the usual world-ending phantom zone calamity. Aethyr's design is wicked but I'm about ready to push past this arc, as nice as it is to have a weekly dose of Supes.

While I liked the lore of issue one, this chapter's tone and pace were much more for me. Steve Trevor brings a lot of levity to things, and Diana just really sparkles in her interactions with others. Also a fan of choking out big monsters with a lasso.
