I pretty much only pay attention to reviews by streamers and content creators that I’m familiar with and whose expectations and tastes align with my own. Maybe that’s very “echo chamber” of me but when millions of people are making videos about a new game I need to filter the noise somehow.

Brandon Sanderson and Joe Abercrombie really helped me get back into reading after a long hiatus after high school, and provided me with a wealth of new books to discover. Now I’m adding new sci-fi and fantasy authors to my tbr every day!

I am not the target audience for YA books, but I used to be. I’d never be as avid a reader as I am now without YA fiction. It’s a great way to onboard even adults that aren’t super experienced readers.

First night at our new house, my wife and I had tons of trouble sleeping because of how quiet our neighborhood was. We lived in an apartment right off of a main road for 5 years and never realized how much background noise we were tuning out in our sleep.

Haven’t set foot in that wasteland for a year. It made me so hopelessly angry all the time.
