the one we were w/ for five or six years has been private-equity-poisoned (ARGH) & though the vets that didn't flee are fine (if inexperienced) there is no way they can cover all the bases & the entire thing is getting enshittified (plus they lost their goat vet). Our new practice feels good, tho!

gosh, that sounds lovely, especially the craic! It's so nice when you vibe with your vet and can trust them to know and care for your pets, well worth a bit of a drive

but fyi for everybody, the absolute best instructions, as a home cook, that I have EVER found are those in @smittenkitchen.bsky.social's magnificent French onion farro and lentil bake, I've caramelized many an onion with them as well as made and remade the entire recipe, aka Heaven's casserole

technically the entire recipe will be there if I print this franken-recipe, but not in a usable form for me, I'm afraid. I love Bob's Red Mill and think they're terrific, and they definitely don't owe me printable free recipes, but I am sad bc when I find a recipe to try I like to cook from a page
