Realistic Sims 3-4 Inspired Face Templates for the Sims 2! No More Long Faces!

comparing the sims 2 maxis skins, oepu's og skins and then my edit of their cc skin for default replacing (made face shadows less intense, changed the eyelids, saturated all the skins, lightened skin 1 and made skins 3 and 4 wayy darker)

like ughh look how pixelated it is, somehow the saturated and pale versions of skin 8 look acceptable, its just the natural versions that need fixing.

okay so i kinda went crazy with my skintone project. I noticed that it was too saturated, so i desaturated it, but i felt like i wanted to desaturate it again so... 90 skintones now, but all the natural skin 8s are pixelated😔so i gotta fix that.

gonna assign them values next.

editing and recoloring my favorite sims 2 skin cc, WIP. Still have alot of deadlines irl, but I just finished one major so thought I'd have fun by working on my sims 2.

Credit to python/jupyter lol, I started w 4 skintones and the code made it to 30 (now way i'd do this manualy!)

sidenote - late 00s early 2010s was when games really peaked so i'm so happy now that i have the hardware to actually play them like there's so many good games from that era

i have a custom way of making my sims 2 sims, they have their own proportions (see photos) and it solves the sims 2 long face thing but still keeping the variety.

my old sims 2 medieval neighborhood that I played for a year (4 generations). I stopped playing it bc the family tree became a wreath and I thought that the medieval-same-clothing thing would work, but it just lacked individuality, plus I didn't make my face templates yet so the townies look a mess

I mean... maxis-match face templates still look good too, but I guess imma stick with my realistic face templates (i've been stuck at this for 2 weeks now and so I haven't played the sims 2 in a month)

hard time deciding if i should stick with the maxis-match face templates or my custom... I know the realistic face templates look better than the long-faced maxis one, but I think the cartooniness has its own charm
