Went to the beach a few times this past week. Yesterday was the tractor/truck pulls at Menominee CO Fair. My bro does a huge cookout every year & we had friends stop over for yummies. Tomorrow is the trek home. Sorry I missed the show at the Halfway, but after a full day on the river I was beat!

WooHoo! 14 more days and I’ll be on my way to spend time with my bro in the U.P.!!! Have a few things to wrap up so I’ll be fully ready for the trip, but man am I excited to soak in all the peace & quiet for 10 full days! My happy place 💕💕💕

Just finished the 15th repeat (49 reps total) for the border. Almost 1/3 done with border. 9 1/2 hours time on border so far. Now I’ve hit my stride and am able to do one 30 row repeat in 30 minutes (2 beads involved per repeat as well).

Managed to finish the body on this mohair sweater yesterday. Taking today off all the adulting stuffs and resting. Tomorrow I’ll begin creating the sleeves & will hopefully have this baby washed/blocked for proper pics in about 2 weeks! #knit #mohair #sweater #handmadegifts

Granddaughter’s sweater is finished, washed, and now blocked to dry out before boxing it up all pretty to be shipped off! That cashmere really bloomed after rinsing the stiffener out from fiber processing!

Knitting this for my granddaughter (she picked the pattern). 44 more rounds of lace on the sleeve before adding the icord bind off. This project is killing me with the tiny needles. At least the fiber is yummy fine cashmere!

I ended up taking the tree down yesterday and tidying up a bunch. Somehow managed to pull a muscle in my back sleeping 🤨 . I did manage to finish the 1st of a pair of socks before bed & spending today working on the mate!

The result of my cleaning spree… I’m supposed to be starting my sausage & bean soup for dinner. Sausage is thawed already so if I must I must. All my bits are screaming in pain even though I took my anti inflammatory med before starting things… 🙄

Cue me grabbing broom first, then swiffer wet mop, then vacuum, and finally the beast of a carpet shampooer. The house looks and smells wonderful. I’m a sweaty mess. And I really need my iced tea which I have yet to make! Now to rest for 3-ish hours until I need to get up and start dinner. 2/🧵
