And here's the monitoring showing nothing out of ordinary. @symm.social I think your theory about the domain being inactive is probably right, i.e: back when you hosted it, a Bluesky server cached the IP address for your server, and is still trying to resolve the handles via that (gone) server.

Looking at the logs, I can see a request came from Bluesky at 14:18:40.783 UTC and was responded to within 1 second, the timeline lines up for this being Cameron's post. Every request received to `gemini.botsky.social` has received a 200 response.

it looks like visiting the `handle.invalid` profile "randomly" chooses an invalid handle to show: refresh a bunch and you'll see different profiles. I wonder if it's showing the profile of the last handle to fail to resolve rather than "randomly" choosing a user.

The "Hosting provider" is the default ("Bluesky Social"). You can log in using your full handle (e.g: `example.posts.art`) and your password. Let me know if you're still having issues! Usually any problem logging in us due to a forgotten password.

woohoo! mastering DNS is the final step to becoming a true nerd. welcome to the club 🤓 side note, you can make it so that when someone types `katie.hipopener.com` into their browser they'll be redirected to your Bluesky profile: create a CNAME record pointing `katie` to `redirect.bsky.app` :)

The IP address that `kylecreate.dev` is pointing to doesn't appear to be correct. Via Porkbun, create an `A` record pointing to `75.2.60.5` and then Netlify should be able to issue a certificate for your domain.

Sure! What's your domain name? You can use bsky-debug.app to check the configuration. If you're using Porkbun, you'll just create a new `TXT` record with `_atproto` as the Host and `did=did:plc:uzun6izyq4riig5u4szrm55h` as the value.

it's super simple with wix! Following these instructions: support.wix.com/en/article/m... create a "TXT" record with a "Host name" of "_atproto" and a "Value" of "did=did:plc:7v42dw6v6vv35oilj4ioomvg" and that's it :) Happy to help you further if you run into any issues.

Your domain's DNS is configured with Cargo Collective, you need to add the TXT record there. According to the documentation (
cargo2support.cargo.site/Cargo-Domain...) the configuration should look like the attached picture. Also you can use bsky-debug.app/handle?handl... to verify your config.

no problem! Just so you know, you can use the Bluesky handle feature to use your own domain if you prefer, i.e: you could be @aliciabrownauthor.com :) If you do want to be @aliciabrownauthor.com: via GoDaddy, go to DNS settings for you domain and do this (`did=did:plc:37sjo2x6qtojditrnynnvpuf`).

From the Squarespace dashboards, go to Domains then DNS then DNS Settings and add these records (replace the `...` with the personal TXT record that iCloud gives you). Let me know if you need any more guidance!

@pepperednuts.bsky.social the fix is ready: `starts.party` is working again :) you can set your handle to `pepperednuts.starts.party` whenever you're ready (the instructions are handles.club).
