A huge aspiration I had last year was painting a dresser of mine, but doing the steps and participating in the process felt daunting and draining. But this week, I worked on a step, I began sanding the drawers down. And it was hard, and it felt tedious, but it also felt rewarding and beautiful

I was so focused and determined to mark these goals off as completed on my running to do list that I never gave myself space to enjoy the process or feel accomplished after simply just working towards something slightly
