That's fair but him being a villain Ben grew out of while he was a kid because of how over the top and predictable he was but his plans are still a genuine threat so Ben can't leave it to someone else is fun imo
A good way to keep more fun aspects without sacrificing more competent characters

Zs'Skayr is kinda fair
Animo imo is a more fun silly villain who works because he can still have relatively believable high stakes

I also think Dr psychobos is pretty underrated
