Chaos and Confusion is and I’d love to write it one day, and the only reason why im not working on it is because it’s a little too complicated for my current writing skills

His hands trembled and sweat beaded down his cheeks. Or maybe they were tears. The soft, leather bound book had been gently oiled, and wrapped in silk paper inscribed with heavenly words of goodness and holiness. They had locked the tome away in an enchanted box, made of copper and the finest dark oak wood. More silk wrapped around the box, with more inscriptions, but these one were darker, warnings and containments. He himself had lovingly placed his creation the in dark cave, and sealed the box. He shivered. Not from cold, but from guilt. So much guilt. He would always regret abandoning his tome, this book that he poured his heart and soul and blood into. This book that they had made to save the world. The book did nothing wrong. It was the people. The cruel, vile creatures. He though he had felt guilt for erasing his brothers and sisters minds, but leaving his own memories of the book intact, but that guilt was slowly dissipating. Why were they locking Book away? It had done nothing wrong. It was the people. The wielders. It was those greedy monsters! Why? WHY! Why should you be locked away for their wrong doings? You are not the monster. People are. They are. Not you. You just tried to help. Help Are you calling me?! Book? It is not your fault! But ours! I will free you. I tore him from the ground. Ripped away those holy words. You are free I say as I cradle Bokk in my arms. He is trembling. Or perhaps it is me. Me Yes me. I will protect Bokk from those monsters. It was not your fault. It was not your It was Not My Fault.

Ophelia gets help from…her mind?
Ophelia sighed heavily, eliciting a chuckle from Riu. “Wow, that’s the fifth dramatic sigh tonight!” He said, far too cheerfully, “what’s on your mind, m’lady?” She almost sighed again, but stopped herself. She looked down at the untouched meal in front of her. It was a warm stew that consisted of potatoes, carrots and some sort of meat. She supposed that Riu thought she was being picky again, but it wasn’t really that. “Princess?” She turned her attention back to Riu, who seemed to be reading her mind, humour gone from his face. She smiled softly. “I suppose I’m just missing home…” she muttered. And she was. But was that the thing that was bothering her? She seemed to be yearning for something, even if she didn’t know what that something was. Her eyes fluttered shut, and she sighed, though this time a little more dreamy. A grey blue sky appeared in her mind, heavy clouds, the smell of rain. Someone called her name, but it sounded muffled. The noises from the inn faded away, leaving the sound of soft wind. She realized that she was having a vision, of sorts, but couldn’t bring herself to care. The pain in her head ceased to almost nothing. This was close, she smiled, but it wasn’t what she was looking for. The vision shifted again, as though her mind was trying to figure out what she wanted.

Uhhhh well
This isn’t *technically* magic use, but is a magical place….that was created by a god. It’s full of illusions and it’s a little trippy (s’all I got folks 🤣)
Ophelia jumped into the chasm, knowing that even the slightest hesitation could be her death, and fell into the star speckled world that lay beyond hers. Her rapid descent slowed into a soft fall, her hair billowing out above her as she took in the sight of the universe. It was big. And...quiet. The pressure in her head ceased for the first time in a long while, and despite the cold that enveloped her, she felt oddly warm. Safe. Like when her mother use to hold her, and tell her stories about the gods. Her fall almost completely stopped, and she felt suspended in the delicate space between worlds. She had to do something...but what? She couldn't quite remember...all she could think about was her mother... She thought of her mothers eyes. She remembered that one was the colour of a stormy sky, just before rain fell, and the other, the golden colour of wheat. And the fields. She remembers those too. Running through grass, her feet tickle. She plucks little white flowers and hands them to a women. Is that women her mother? The light is shining in her eyes, and she can't make out her face. Does she remember her mothers face? Her mother leans down over her, and brushes a stray hair out of her face. She smiled softly and whispers something to her, but there's a noise on the background. Bells? Why were there bells? She blinks. The field is gone, and in its place is a temple. She pulls herself up, apparently she had been laying down. She looks around, and the only thing there is the temple. I wonder who it’s for.

This smaller river that runs off the bay is also important. The is the Between (that dark grey line), the home for people who don’t quite fit in elsewhere. The river is their lifeblood, where they fish, travel, etc. Also a minor trade route

So far, I only have one notable body of water, and that’s the Canal that runs through Greyshore, Windfor, and Heartland.
This Canal* is used as a primary route for trade and travel between these kingdoms (which have the strongest connectio)

Mmmm Taxes. Just what everybody wanted.
“Well, it mostly started slowly. Most people didn’t even realize what was happening.” Willful said. “We owned our farm, and we ran it, too. About 8 years ago, the king raised the taxes.” “The taxes have always been 6%.” Ophelia interrupted, but Darcy shook her head. “It went from 6 to 8% in a year. Then a year after that, it was raised again to 12%. When we left Windfor I believe it was almost 15%, and that was a few years ago. We couldn’t afford to keep our farm, let alone keep it running. We sold almost everything we had and moved down here.”
