These people who somehow think all of these jobs are "waste" genuinely have zero clue as to what these jobs actually do, and how much they contribute to overall society... It's mind-boggling.

It all seems to come down to not being able to wrap their brains around it- they absolutely cannot imagine this happening here, happening to us... We are going to suffer enormously for their incredible lack of imagination.

I like the idea of 1-2 cats, in the sense that the number of cats is ephemeral, and can just expand at a moment's notice...

We are trying, but it's like screaming at a brick wall - they don't believe what's happening, and since their media isn't reporting it, they feel that's enough proof to claim we're just fearmongering crazy people...

I had started four years ago, but carpal tunnel syndrome got in the way of practicing as much as I'd like. I was finally able to have surgery on my right hand (I'm left-handed, but I draw with my right), so I'm just about to start again- my mind and my body are so ready.

He's a petty tyrant, with zero compassion and even less understanding of the far-reaching impacts of his actions. But his entourage knows that pictures and posts like this make his fans very happy, and I'm not sure any dose of reality in the world will change their minds.

It's a highly meditative experience! And I'm also not highly skilled, as I haven't been doing it for very long- but I can tell you that the required focus brings me little bouts of peace, and I'll take every little scrap of peace I can manage at this moment in time.

I read this book ages ago, way before I'd read the Sherlock stories... I liked it then, but now I feel that I wouldn't be able to read it again with my current knowledge.

It's good! But I will say that for me to steep it as strongly as I usually like black tea, I find that there's something of a medicinal aftertaste that's not my favorite. So, I steep it lightly, and the flavors balance out a bit more- which probably also makes it less in need of a potency warning. 😁
