Aziraphale, dear, firewood is a subject I'm very familiar with. You're going to want to either 'miracle' those logs or get a chain saw. I physically shuttered at the thought of bucking up logs with an ax. Splitting is okay once bucked but you'll be at it until the 2nd coming with an ax.

Good morning to you!
One good thing about these extra rainy days is the local crew (numbering around 8 right now) tend to hang out in my yard. They seem to prefer the wide open when it's raining vs under tree cover. (sorry for the bad photo, used my phone)

Okay and will do (I think I do anyways, but will be sure to from now on)
18 miles west of Mt.St.Helens, Washington State.

I've only ever encountered one here on the west side of the State. They're fairly common on the east side during breeding season. And yes, magnificent birds.

These are 2 of the photos I took from a Cessna 150 just a couple weeks before this broadcast, late April 1985. One shows the dome as we flew in, the other is the crater wall as we flew around the inside. Not an experience I'll soon forget.

Too funny.... I think I'll shoot my own posters, though.
Today's view, beautiful hike/walk at Goat Marsh...on the last of the sunny days for a while here in the Pacific Northwet.

It's good to know there are those that are advocating for the natural habitat created post May 18. It's been amazing to watch the earth recover. View downriver, while standing on the sediment dam. (Yes, you can walk out about halfway on the SRS)

.....and the whole view from the top of Windy Ridge, which is all of 5 miles away from the crater.
