I don't even care if we're our own province haha. Feel free to lump us in with New Brunswick or Nova Scotia 😜

By this logic, sounds like a certain Mario brother oughta be pardoned

Yeah I grew up in the area and the response this year has been laughably bad. Seems like they forgot how to do snow management over the past 2 years with practically no snowfall.
Sure, people that don't move their cars are a factor. But the city kinda sucks at effectively calling parking bans too.

Original comment was right actually.

Less than 1/3 of eligible voters voted Trump. But the vote count was 77,302,580 to 75,017,613.

Ooooo I don't think I've heard if this one!

It just warms my heart every time! I need a bigger list of just feel-good movies that make you smile. I only have maybe 10-15 or so with the vibe I'm after.

I don't think I've actually seen LA Story, at least not intentionally. I'll give it a try sometime soon!

I don't tend to rewarch movies all too often but these are 4 I watch on a somewhat regular basis.

It's a silly heartfelt movie, The Big Year. With Jack Black, Owen Wilson, and Steve Martin playing obsessed birders attempting to set the record for most birds seen in a year. The book is also very charming

Oof just realized I was tagged! I will ponder and try to come up with just 4 of em 😜

Nope. This is the Susan Collins playbook. She says she's a "moderate" or "bipartisan" but the only time she doesn't vote with the repubs is when she knows her vote isn't going to matter. She then reaches out to the voters in her state for a pat on the back and another vote. She's 100% self serving

Yyyyyyyyup!

1-3 are fun enough stories. Solid books for kids. Then it just gets worse and worse. The movies are okay but they also ironically "lose the magic" as they go on.
I'm sure nostalgia for childhood wonder plays a part, but the writing also just gets worse 😅
January 25, 2025 at 4:26 PM
Yup 🙄 It's Susan Collins 101.
She only votes the right way when she knows it's not actually going to impact anything. And then she wants a pat on the back tries to use it as a reason everyone should vote for her again (now her 6th term when she ran on being a 2 term senator in 1996). Fuck Collins.

Forreal... what a pathetic sellout. To think the right wanted him in prison for this music vid not long ago.

Which morals are those again?
January 22, 2025 at 2:58 AM
Frankly the numbers weren't that good for anybody
January 22, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Yup. Now about 2/3 of the comments I make on FB correcting BS with facts (without name-calling and whatnot) get "shadowbanned."

Activity log says they're there, but they don't appear in the comments when you go back to the post.

For sure, I don't have any issue with S&G. Though Paul Simon's song "Cars Are Cars" is pretty hilariously bad haha 😄

Yeahhh I'll never understand how that band became popular. Can't fuckin stand them. Trite soulless garbage that all too often dips into basically plagiarism
