Things I, the person who runs this account learned about lecture passes today:

1) You don’t have to be an alumni or affiliated with the program! Anyone can buy a pass.
2) You can buy a half pass! Make your own schedule!

Many within the community have written in support of the regular MFA (in writing for adults) continuing.  Feel free do do so if you wish.  

Just wanted you all to know that MFAC is continuing and is a strong and vibrant program.

That said, the MFA and MFAC are two graduate programs in creative writing at Hamline and there is some crossover between the two, so those of us in MFAC are deeply saddened by the decision.

We want you to know that this does NOT affect the BFA or MFAC, which are separate programs.  MFAC is fine!

The news and CWP social media have reported that Hamline University has made the decision to sunset the regular MFA, discontinue Water~Stone Review, its award-winning magazine, and terminate Meghan Maloney-Vinz's position.
