Janet Mills is a better candidate than Platner. If they find someone better than her, great. I’m not attached to her. But Platner isn’t it. I really don’t understand the attraction of a guy with these skeletons that‘s never held office. Why are people so fixated on him being the guy?

My 14-year old daughter wouldn’t read any of the fantasy books I recommended, but she got way into Baldur’s Gate 3 and got interested in drow elves. So I recommended Homeland to her and she picked it up. She loved it and is almost done with Sojourn now. Thanks!

At least with Manchin he was from West Virginia. He was better than anyone else who could win that seat was going to be. Fetterman ran as a good Democrat and then became Manchin for no conceivable reason.

I feel like the deal they just offered is the absolute minimum Democrats can rationally get to sign on. At this point, Democrats have to hold firm. Republicans can either take the deal, get rid of the Filibuster, or keep the government shut indefinitely. There is no more negotiation to be had.

It probably wouldn’t even work for healthy people without completely revamping how health care pricing is set. Anyone without an insurance company negotiating for them gets absolutely robbed in our system.
